This is one of several portraits of Abbie LaFleur by Clifford Hall. She was from the Bahamas and came to England to study Fashion Design. She had a talent for dancing and singing and became a professional entertainer. She was introduced to the artist by his friend George Melly. This work is currently in the Private Collection of Andrew Charles Bunce.
